　A bandit, until he was attacked and paralyzed. Kikyou, for reasons unknown except to herself, chose to care for him, and he came to lust after her. And then...

Background

　(under construction)
　Onigumo's lust for Kikyou and evil heart called out to countless youkai, which merged with him to create Naraku. To Onigumo's horror, he was not in control of the result, and one of Naraku's first actions was killing Kikyou.
　The presence of Onigumo shows in Naraku, and all the minions he spawns, as a spider-shaped scar on the back.
　Onigumo's name literally means ogre-spider or demon-spider.

Current status

　Onigumo still exists as part of Naraku, despite how much Naraku wants to be rid of him. Even now, arrows that Kikyou has specially treated with Onigumo's burial soil (IIRC) are abnormally effective against Naraku.
