犬夜叉 (いぬやしゃ)

I'm a fan. Not as rabid as some, but obsessed enough to do this, at least... The information is based more on the anime version than the manga, up until it ends after the 167th episode (which covers nearly to the end of chapter 356 in the manga). Anything beyond the end of the anime is based on the third-party scanlations (now minus the scans more often thn not) that I've been following on Ear-Tweak (up to chapter 479 as of 10 Nov 2006). It's not likely to end anytime soon, since the author, Rumiko Takahashi, has said that she's aiming for 500 chapters, at least. It's already her longest work, even longer than Ranma 1/2.

For good measure, I've posted the lyrics and English translations for several of the anime themes over in the translations section of the site.


To get the most out of this page, your browser should be able to display Japanese text, and you should be able to read katakana (コレ) and hiragana (これ), since this section was started mostly for the benefit of my JAPN 455 class (yes, we studied Inuyasha in a college class). Further knowledge of the Japanese language couldn't hurt, but isn't likely to help much here.

1月16日2009年 - Apparently all that stuff about being lazy still applies. This isn't so much an update as officially stating that I'm discontinuing work on this section until and unless something happens to motivate me to work on it again. I could just remove it entirely, but but that seems like a waste, and besides, I kinda like what I've done here.

Anyhow, I've gotten around to doing some updates on more recent events, affecting the Shikon no Tama, Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha, Kikyou, Kouga, and jargon pages, and there's still a major development or two to Inuyasha's abilities (his sword's, to be more exact), that I have yet to cover...
