EXEC_PHANTASMAGORIA/.

Three main parts, frequently singing different things at the same time, and often singing with different timing even when singing the same thing. If you're looking for something complicated, this will not disappoint. The (S:) parts are audially centered and sung by Noriko Mitose (as Shurelia), the (M:) parts right of center and sung by Akiko Shikata (as Misha), and the (A:) parts left of center and sung by Haruka Shimotsuki (as Aurica).

There are some beautiful concepts in here, too. Hatred withering away to be replaced with flowers of forgiveness, unity in diversity, radiance that shines upon people we don't even know the names of just as much as those we know and love... that's a future worth striving for.

Fade out as a simple music box fades in, continuing for another 30+ seconds.

1 According to the lyrics booklet, both Aurica and Misha sing 一つの (hitotsu no, one) here. However, I've also seen several sites claiming that one of them sings いくつもの (ikutsu mo no, a great number of) instead, and I believe it also sounds more like that. The concept fits, too. By overlapping "many" with "one", it would build on the preceding lines about how varied and different we are, while at the same time affirming that we're also all the same in the ways that really matter.

The Hymmnos

Keep in mind that I'm working from a Japanese description of how the language works and Japanese descriptions of the terms. Translations of translations always tend to suffer somewhat in quality...

Refer to my brief Hymmnos reference for general information on how the language works.

If you have the Hymmnos font installed, the headings below should appear in the Hymmnos script as seen in the game. Hey, why not? The font is freely available from the Hymmno Server, where most of my information on Hymmnos comes from. The site is mostly in Japanese, but the download link itself is in English. If you don't have the font, the headings will simply appear as large Latin text.

Wee yea ra enne ar sar

Hymmnos line: Wee yea ra enne ar sar

Glossed as: 空に願いを

Which means: Wishes to the sky

Kana reading: ウィ イェア ラ エニェ アル サー

Romanized: Wi yea ra enye aru saa

Vocaulary summary: Wee = quite / yea = happy / ra = want to be like this
enne = prayer, (positive) desire / ar = the / sar = sky

There's not much of a sentence structure, but it's easy enough to understand.

Wee yea ra enne ar dor

Hymmnos line: Wee yea ra enne ar dor

Glossed as: 大地に願いを

Which means: Wishes to the earth

Kana reading: ウィ イェア ラ エニェ アル ドール

Romanized: Wi yea ra enye aru dooru

Vocaulary summary: Wee = quite / yea = happy / ra = want to be like this
enne = prayer, (positive) desire / ar = the / dor = earth, continent

Wee yea ra enne ar ciel

Hymmnos line: Wee yea ra enne ar ciel

Glossed as: 世界に願いを

Which means: Wishes to the world

Kana reading: ウィ イェア ラ エニェ アル シェール

Romanized: Wi yea ra enye aru sheeru

Vocaulary summary: Wee = quite / yea = happy / ra = want to be like this
enne = prayer, (positive) desire / ar = the / ciel = sky, (loose usage) world

Rrha yea ra ieeya en near

Hymmnos line: Rrha yea ra ieeya en near

Glossed as: いのちに希望を

Which means: Hope for life

Kana reading: [ルル]ラ イェア ラ イーヤ エン ニェァー

Romanized: [ruru]ra yea ra iiya en nyeaa

Vocaulary summary: Rrha = consumed with / yea = happy / ra = want to be like this
ieeya = hope / en = and (then), because of / near = life

Fou yea ra waath ar ciel, en hymme mea, weel nepo en keen ar sar

Hymmnos line: Fou yea ra waath ar ciel, en hymme mea, weel nepo en keen ar sar

Glossed as: 想いを込めて、今こそこの世界再生の時。大地よ潤え…空よ輝け…

Which means: Rich with feeling, now is the time for the world to be reborn. Be moist, O earth... shine, O sky...

Kana reading: フォウ イェア ラ ワース アル シェール エン ヒュム ミーァ ウィー ネポ エン ケーン アル サー

Romanized: fou yea ra waasu aru sheeru en hyumu mii[a] wii nepo en keen aru saa

Vocaulary summary: Fou = somewhat / yea = happy / ra = want to be like this
waath = replay, rebirth / ar = the / ciel = sky, (loose usage) world / en = and (then), because of / hymme = sing, play, resonate / mea = me / weel = Come true! / nepo = be damp, favor / en = and (then), because of / keen = shine / ar = the / sar = sky

Meh, close enough.
