1 This needs a quick grammar note for anyone following along with verb forms. 彷徨える looks like it ought to be the potential ("can do") form of 彷徨う (samayou), but that doesn't make sense here. We're actually looking at an archaic conjugation, combining the 已然形 (realis) form, 彷徨え (samayoe), of that verb with the 連体形 (attributive) form, る (ru), of the auxiliary verb り (ri), which roughly equates to modern ～している (-shite iru) and indicates an ongoing action or effect. Why not just use the modern form, then? Partly to better fit the meter, partly for the aesthetics, probably. Many of the lyrics in this song have more a poetic feel to them.
2 The kanji 現在 (the present) are given the reading いま (now).
