Concoct new and bizarre potions with the Chemist's !Mix command. Mixes always target a single ally or enemy, chosen by the player, and can NOT be reflected.

Where a mix result and a normal item have the same name, the mix result is usually somehow better. Usually, but not always.

 

For brevity's sake, on this page I'm shortening magic defense to MDef, evade rate to evade, magic evade rate to MEvd, and magic power to magic.

The basic damage formula for pretty much everything is Damage = (A - D) * M. It's what goes into A, D, and M that makes things interesting.

Since M acts as a damage multiplier, anything that modifies M modifies final damage. Modifiers to A and D have more complicated effects on final damage because A and D are compared to each other on the way to computing final damage. Note that most calculations are truncated (rounded down).

If a mixture does not automatically hit, then it has a (hit rate)% chance to succeed. The target then has an additional MEvd% chance to avoid it even if a success is determined.

 

Mixes
ポーション    Potion Potion + Potion or Holy Water

Recovers 90 HP, doubled if used with Medicine Lore. The Undead take damage instead.

Only 40 better than a normal Potion, but possibly worth using to heal more quickly.

せいめいのみず  Water of Life Potion + High Potion

Adds 'regenerate' status. Always succeeds unless the target is immune.

エクスポーション X-Potion Ether + Potion or Turtle Shell

Recovers all HP. Reduces Undead that are not Heavy to single-digit HP. Undead that are also Heavy are unaffected.

エリクサー    Elixir Elixir + Potion, High Potion, Ether, Elixir, Holy Water, Antidote, or Eyedrops

Recovers all HP and MP. Reduces Undead that are not Heavy to single-digit HP. Undead that are also Heavy are unaffected.

Just a normal Elixir. Don't waste your items.

リザレクション  Resurrection Phoenix Tail + Potion or High Potion

Removes 'incapacitated' and recovers all HP and MP. Acts as an instant-death attack instead against the Undead, ignoring 'incapacitated' immunity. Always hits 'incapacitated' targets that are not Undead, and always misses live targets that are not Undead.

Hit rate against the Undead = (99 + user's level - target's level)%.

おとめのキッス  Maiden's Kiss Maiden's Kiss + Potion, High Potion, or Maiden's Kiss

Removes 'toad' status and recovers some HP (damages the Undead).

A = Random(30, 33), D = MDef, M = (level * magic)/256 + 4

エーテル     Ether Potion + Turtle Shell, Ether + Ether or Holy Water

Recovers 80 MP, doubled if used with Medicine Lore.

Twice as strong as a normal Ether.

ニュートラライズ Neutralize Antidote + Potion or High Potion

Removes 'poison' status and recovers some HP (damages the Undead).

A = Random(30, 33), D = MDef, M = (level * magic)/256 + 4

キュアブラインド Cure Blind Eyedrops + Potion or High Potion

Removes 'darkness' status and recovers some HP (damages the Undead).

A = Random(30, 33), D = MDef, M = (level * magic)/256 + 4

ドラゴンパワー  Dragon Power Dragon Fang + Potion or High Potion

Adds 20 to level for the duration of battle, repeatable up to a maximum level of 99.

ダークポーション Dark Potion Dark Matter + Potion or High Potion

Inflicts 666 damage.

Hit rate = (99 + user's level - target's level)%.

ハイポーション  High Potion High Potion + High Potion or Holy Water

Recovers 900 HP, doubled if used with Medicine Lore. The Undead take damage instead.

Only 400 better than a normal High Potion, but possibly useful for healing more at once.

ハーフエリクサー Half Elixir High Potion + Ether

Recovers all MP.

エーテルドライ  Ether Dry High Potion + Turtle Shell

Recovers 160 MP, doubled if used with Medicine Lore.

Four times as strong as a normal Ether.

リンカネーション Reincarnation Phoenix Tail + Ether or Elixir

Removes 'incapacitated' and recovers all HP and MP. Acts as an instant-death attack instead against the Undead, ignoring 'incapacitated' immunity. Always hits 'incapacitated' targets that are not Undead, and always misses live targets that are not Undead.

Hit rate against Undead = (99 + user's level - target's level)%.

Use Resurrection (Phoenix Tail + Potion) instead. The effect is the same, but the ingredients are cheaper.

リリスのくちづけ Lilith's Kiss Maiden's Kiss + Ether or Elixir

Drains MP, restoring to the user the amount it removes from the target (reversed on the Undead).

A = Random(45, 46), D = MDef / 32, M = (level * magic)/256 + 4. It's like [black magic] Aspir on steroids.

Hit rate = (99 + user's level - target's level)%.

レジストポイズン Resist Poison Ether + Antidote

Target becomes immune to 'poison' status. Does not protect against Poison trait damage.

レジストファイア Resist Fire Ether + Eyedrops

Target gains Flame absorption.

ドラゴンシールド Dragon Shield Ether + Dragon Fang

Target becomes immune to Flame, Ice, and Thunder damage.

ダークエーテル  Dark Ether Ether + Dark Matter

Reduces target MP to 25% of its current value (round fractions down).

Hit rate = (99 + user's level - target's level)%. It's like the Blue Magic skill Magic Hammer, but more powerful and more accurate.

しっぱいさく   Failed Batch Elixir + Turtle Shell

75% chance to set 'slip' status (always hits). Otherwise, reduces target's HP to single digits (always misses if Heavy, always hits otherwise).

Doubles maximum HP for the rest of the battle, and also doubles current HP. Both are capped at 9999. Works only once per target per battle.

Reduces HP to single digits. Always fails against Heavy types.

Hit rate = (99 + user's level - target's level)%.

フェニックスのお Phoenix Tail Phoenix Tail + Phoenix Tail

Removes 'incapacitated' and recovers 25% of maximum HP. Acts as an instant-death attack instead against the Undead, ignoring 'incapacitated' immunity. Always hits 'incapacitated' targets that are not Undead, and always misses live targets that are not Undead.

Hit rate against the Undead = (99 + user's level - target's level)%. Ignores 'incapacitated' immunity but fails against Heavy targets.

Same as a normal Phoenix Tail except the hit rate against the Undead. Don't bother.

いのちのキッス  Kiss of Life Phoenix Tail + Maiden's Kiss

Removes 'incapacitated' and recovers 50% of max HP. Inflicts 'incapacitated' instead against the Undead. Always hits 'incapacitated' targets that are not Undead, always misses live targets that are not Undead.

Hit rate against the Undead = (99 + user's level - target's level)%. Ignores 'incapacitated' immunity but fails against Heavy targets.

Try Resurrection (Phoenix Tail + Potion) instead for full recovery. It's not like Potions are hard to come by.

ライフシールド  Life Shield Phoenix Tail + Holy Water

Target becomes immune to 'incapacitated'.

That's one way to keep Death off your back. It only works against some types of instant death, though, so be careful.

ばんのうやく   Panacea Phoenix Tail + Turtle Shell

Removes 'petrified', 'toad', 'minimum', 'poison', 'darkness', 'aging', 'sleep', 'paralysis', 'confusion', 'berserk', 'silence', 'stop', and 'slow' status.

レジストアイス  Resist Ice Phoenix Tail + Antidote

Target gains Ice absorption.

レジストサンダー Resist Thunder Phoenix Tail + Eyedrops

Target gains Thunder absorption.

ドラゴンアーマー Dragon Armor Phoenix Tail + Dragon Fang

Sets 'reflect', 'protect', 'shell', and 'regenerate' status, regardless of immunities.

デスポーション  Death Potion Phoenix Tail + Dark Matter

Kills one enemy or ally (sets 'incapacitated' status). Undead targets instead recover to full HP. Always hits unless the target is immune.

しゅくふくのキッスKiss of Blessing Maiden's Kiss + Holy Water

Sets 'berserk', 'decoy (2)', and 'haste' status, regardless of immunities.

Bypassing 'berserk' immunity is exceedingly abusable, since the status causes enemies to lose their AI and reaction scripts.

ドレインキッス  Drain Kiss Maiden's Kiss + Turtle Shell

Drains HP, restoring to the user the amount removed from the target (reversed agaisnt the Undead).

A = Random(255, 286), D = MDef, M = (level * magic)/256 + 4. It's like [black magic] Drain on steroids.

Hit rate = (99 + user's level - target's level)%.

レビテト     Levitate Maiden's Kiss + Antidote

Sets 'levitate' status. Always succeeds unless the target is immune.

An easy way to 'levitate' before [timespace] Levitate is available for your Time Mages.

ラミアのくちづけ Lamia's Kiss Maiden's Kiss + Eyedrops

Sets 'confusion' status. Always succeeds unless the target is immune.

りゅうのくちづけ Dragon's Kiss Maiden's Kiss + Dragon Fang

Adds Dragon and Heavy to the target's type.

Heavy nullifies Gravity-type magic and certain other attacks such as [timespace] Dejon. Dragon only seems to matter for attacks strong vs. Dragons.

かえるのキッス  Frog's Kiss Maiden's Kiss + Dark Matter

Sets 'toad' status. Always succeeds unless the target is immune.

せいすい     Holy Water Holy Water + Holy Water

Removes 'zombie' status and recovers some HP (damages the Undead).

A = Random(75, 84), D = MDef, M = (level * magic)/256 + 4. This gives it two and a half times the healing power of a normal one.

バッカスのさけ  Bacchus's Wine Holy Water + Turtle Shell

Sets 'berserk' status. Always succeeds unless the target is immune.

サムソンパワー  Samson Power Holy Water + Antidote

Adds 10 to level for the duration of battle, repeatable up to a maximum level of 99.

エレメンタルパワーElemental Power Holy Water + Eyedrops

Target gains Flame up, Ice up, Thunder up, Water up, Wind up, Earth up, Poison up, and Holy up.

50% bonus power for all elemental magic. Your mages will love this one.

ホーリーブレス  Holy Breath Holy Water + Dragon Fang

Holy attack. Base damage = user's current HP. Always hits, ignores defense.

しっぱいさく   Failed Batch Holy Water + Dark Matter

Sets 'poison' status. Always succeeds unless the target is immune.

まもりのくすり  Protective Drink Turtle Shell + Turtle Shell

Sets 'protect' and 'shell' status. Each always succeeds unless the target is immune to it.

かめのこうらわり Shell Splitter Turtle Shell + Antidote

Halves defense and MDef for the remainder of battle. Always succeeds.

ヘイストドリンク Haste Drink Turtle Shell + Eyedrops

Sets 'haste' status and removes 'slow' status. Always succeeds unless the target is immune.

しっぱいさく   Failed Batch Turtle Shell + Dragon Fang

Removes 25% of target's current HP and inflicts 'confusion' status. Always fails on Heavy targets, but always succeeds otherwise.

ばくやく     Explosive Turtle Shell + Dark Matter

Inflicts damage equal to the user's current HP. Kills the user, regardless of 'incapacitated' immunity.

どくけし     Antidote Antidote + Antidote

Removes 'poison' status.

Just a regular Antidote. Don't bother. Try Neutralize (Antidote + Potion) instead to add some healing.

きつけやく    Restorative Antidote + Eyedrops

Removes 'aging', 'sleep', 'paralysis', 'confusion', 'berserk', and 'silence' status.

ポイズンブレス  Poison Breath Antidote + Dragon Fang

Poison attack. Base damage = (user's current HP)/2. Always hits, ignores defense.

どくやく     Poison Antidote + Dark Matter

Sets 'poison' status. Always succeeds unless the target is immune.

めぐすり     Eyedrops Eyedrops + Eyedrops

Removes 'darkness' status.

Just regular Eyedrops. Don't bother. Try Cure Blind (Eyedrops + Potion) instead to add some healing.

あんこくのといき Dark Sigh Eyedrops + Dragon Fang

Sets 'darkness', 'confusion', and 'slip'. Each one that the target is not immune to always succeeds.

あんこくのガス  Dark Gas Eyedrops + Dark Matter

Sets 'darkness' status. Always succeeds unless the target is immune.

ドラゴンブレス  Dragon Breath Dragon Fang + Dragon Fang

Flame/Ice/Thunder attack. Base damage = user's current HP. Always hits, ignores defense.

ダークブレス   Dark Breath Dragon Fang + Dark Matter

Damage = (user's max HP - user's current HP). Always hits.

シャドーフレア  Shadow Flare Dark Matter + Dark Matter

Damage and 'slip' status. Always hits (but the Aegis Shield can block it).

A = Random(240, 247), D = MDef / 32, M = (level * magic)/256 + 4. A slightly weaker [black magic] Flare with 'slip' as a bonus.
