As an optional stop, some distance out of the way to the north stands a house all by itself where "??" plays. A rather eccentric old man lives here...

The standard spelling is "coliseum" except when referring specifically to the Roman Colosseum, because English does strange things like that.

Although that's vaguely interesting, the main reason to come here is to nab the Brave Ring accessory hidden in one of the pots.

Another town, this one with lots of water. To start with, the party tries talking with various residents. A young girl...

...a woman nearby...

...and a man.

Other people talk about other things.

Flashback time... the color changes to a sepia tint like old photographs. Lock and a woman are shown in a cave.

He cuts himself off, perhaps having second thoughts about what he was about to say.

Lock starts off across a thin bridge nearby. It shakes as he approaches the middle.

Rachel rushes up to knock him off of the bridge and onto solid ground, just as the bridge collapses. She falls into the unseen depths below...

He leaps down after her.

Later, she lies in bed in her house, with Lock intently watching over her.

Rachel slowly gets out of bed. Lock gives her room to stand, while staying close by.

Lock is, of course, shocked.

Later, outside, Lock appears flying out through the door as though struck. Probably he was, given that Rachel's father storms out after him and starts yelling...

We were gonna what now? Pure fabrication. Though I'll concede it's possible that's where Lock was headed with the line he never finished back in the cave.

Rachel and her father go back inside, leaving Lock standing stunned. One of the townsfolk walks up to him.

Lock clearly doesn't like it, but neither can he argue. Reluctantly, he leaves the village.

The scene returns to the present, and Lock continues explaining...

There's also a house off by itself at the edge of town, and "??" plays inside. In the basement, there's an old man, many flowers, and what appears to be a woman sleeping on a bed.

薬 (kusuri) is a very general term for medicines (including pills, salves, and liquids), chemicals, and all sorts of related things, and can also be used figuratively just to make things more difficult for translators :) . Potion seems a likely meaning given the context.

Another flashback starts, with the same sepia tint and "Forever Rachel" music as the other one. This one takes place in this basement...

Lock stands over the rather familiar-looking woman. The room looks just as it does in the present.

The old man enters the room. Lock looks up.

The flashback ends, and we're back to the present. Lock repeats himself again.

Everyone heads back upstairs. If Celes is in the party, she comes back downstairs by herself, then stops next to Rachel for a moment before leaving.

Elsewhere in town, "Shadow" plays in the inn/pub. And sure enough, the assassin himself is seated near the bar, with his trusty dog nearby. He certainly knows how to get around...

In any case, the party now knows where to look for more clues as to what happened to Tina. Time to head south...

This town has more paving and larger houses than most, but other than shopping, information is the only thing of interest here for the moment.
