The word comes from the character Katyusha Maslova from a Tolstoy novel. It's just one of those simple, sometimes decorated, curved hairbands that girls often wear. If you really don't know what I mean, do a Google image search on カチューシャ for plenty of examples. Apparently, Katyusha wore this sort of hairband.

A cloche is a bell-shaped women's hat. It was popular with flappers in the 1920s.

I've had the hardest time trying to figure out what "yasha" really means. Several dictionaries define it as a female demon or she-devil, some putting female in brackets to indicate that it's not necessarily female but generally is. Some sources refer to a mythical fearsome creature in Buddhism. Several sources on Japanese mythology say they're vampire bats thought to be reincarnated from women consumed by anger. Still others indicate a vampiress.

My best guess is that the demonic meaning comes from Buddhism in general, and that the notion of angry women and bats came from mixing with Japanese culture, so than in Japan at least, it's some of all of the above. I'd have to ask around to confirm this, but I figure the concept of "yasha", like creatures in Westen mythology, isn't cleary defined even for natives. But it looks as though it would generally include the notions of evil, vampiric, and female.

Anyway, かんざし (kanzashi) is much less problematic. It's a fancy ornamental hairpin.

However, no monster has any special reaction to the anti-Sea damage type, so this never gives a damage bonus directly. However, a handful of enemies (such as the Lamia and Killer Armor) resist typeless damage, and using the Sea Ring will avoid their resistance. On the other hand, golem-type enemies resist all non-typeless damage that they aren't specifically weak against, so using it will also reduce damage against them.

In addition to its stat bonuses, the Dragon Ring also adds anti-Dragon to your attack type, but only if your attack doesn't already have a special type. It will also prevent other racial damage types (anti-Flying, anti-Armor, etc.) from working, but has no effect on elemental damage types (Fire, Water, etc.).

Slightly? It looks like it halves shop prices to me. Not too useful in combat, though.

Yes, the Egg Ring really is this ridiculously powerful (on the other hand, it's also difficult and time-consuming to get). Though the values never display as above 999, the game DOES keep track of the exact values, and further boosts DO make a difference. The exception is GUT, which will not go over 199 no matter what.
